1st Day: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait ben Haddou - Dades Valley
We will pick you up from your accommodation and start our 5 Days desert tour from Marrakech to the Dades Valley through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass with its vast mountain landscape to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a beautiful fortified settlement and UNESCO World Heritage Site (Ksours).
You will have your lunch in Ait Ben Haddou after visiting the Kasbah which takes about 40 minutes.
After lunch, we head to Ouarzazate to visit the Atlas Studio, Kasbah Taourirt, and then through the Dades Valley through the Valley of Roses and the beautiful view of the Dades Valley and its Berber houses. We spent the night in a Hotel or riad in the Dades Valley.
2nd Day: Dades Vally - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga
After breakfast, we will drive from Dades Valley to Todra Gorge, Grand Canyon, where you will have free time to explore the gorge with its river and water springs. On the way to the desert, we pass Berber villages scattered along the road. We pass Tinjdad, Jerf, and Erfoud, where we feel the beginning of the desert oasis Tafilalet, then continue to Merzouga, overnight in a riad/hotel near the sand dunes.
3rd Day: Tour Around Merzouga and Overnight Camel trek
Today, We will go on an immersive Merzouga 4×4 tour Around the Erg-Chebbi dunes. Begin in Hassi Labied Garden, a golden-sand paradise with traditional irrigation. Then we continue to Explore the village of Khamlia and listen to the Gnawa music which represents the Slaves’ lifestyle.
We will continue our journey into the black desert to see local mineral mining in a historic French-built desert town with operating mines. Our trip in the rocky black desert will lead us to Meet a Berber family in their desert tents, We will learn about their way of life, and drink a cup of tea with them.
Afternoon:
The camel ride will take us to cross the dunes of Erg-Chebbi to get to the desert camp where we will spend the night. Once you get to the camp you can walk into the dunes to See the sunset and have fun with sandboarding in the dunes.
After dinner, We will meet beside the campfire to play drums and sing Berber songs under the starry sky. After that, You can enjoy the starry sky before you go to sleep.
4th Day: Merzouga - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate
