We arrived in the desert village of M’Hamid before setting out on the bumpy road leading to Erg Chigaga. We will ride camels in the desert and watch the sunset at the top of the dunes. We dine traditional tagine, drink delicious mint tea, listen to traditional local music, and watch the stars in the Sahara desert. We will spend the night in a desert camp.
3rd Day: Erg-Chigaga dunes - Marrakech
We get up early in the quiet of the morning to see the sun slowly rise over the rolling dunes. Following an amazing breakfast and a relaxing shower, we set out to return to Marrakech. We loop back via Foum Zguid and across the magical stretch of Iraqi lakes, passing through more breathtaking scenery. The majesty of the desert and the attraction of undiscovered jewels are interwoven throughout the trip. It will be evening when we get to Marrakech.
